The Ravens quarterback is one game away from his first Super Bowl appearance after an outstanding regular season.

And the MVP-elect produced a memorable moment late in the first half of the AFC title game at M&T Stadium.

Deep in their own half, Baltimore was facing 2nd and 5 inside their own 20-yard line.

Jackson dropped back and attempted to loft a pass to running back Justice Hill but the ball was batted in the air.

With Chiefs defenders converging to intercept the ball, Jackson sprinted through traffic to catch his own pass and retain possession for the Ravens.

The jaw dropping play drew a stunned response from CBS announcer Tony Romo.

“That’s one of the greatest plays I’ve ever seen!” said Romo.

The 13-yard pass completion was enough for a first round down for Baltimore.

It was also an historic moment. Jackson’s reception was also the longest completion by a player to himself in the playoffs since at least 1950.

The extraordinary play sent NFL fans into meltdown online, sparking some excellent memes paying tribute to Lamar’s ‘Superman’ antics.

“Greatest play we’ll ever see in the playoffs!” wrote one fan.

“That is the most incredible play I’ve ever seen,” added another, echoing Romo’s assessment on air.
