The Bengals posted a glimpse of their 2020 draft QB training on their official X account with the caption, “HE IS SO BACK.” His throws had fans hyped up about Burrow’s return, with some even calling out the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback for a battle cry.

The Chiefs vs. Bengals rivalry has been the most exciting competition in this era of the NFL. Burrow is often pitted against Mahomes with his 3-1 record against the three-time MVP. Following the spirit, one fan wrote, “Patrick Mahomes count your days.”

Burrow’s injury is reported to be a scapholunate ligament tear by sports physician Jesse Morse, and the 27-year-old might be the first NFL QB to have suffered from it. While other offensive and defensive linemen have experienced the ailment, the wrist motion isn’t as integral for them as it is for a thrower. The Grade 3 sprain requires a long time to heal, and fortunately, the Bengals’ signal-caller might be on the end of this long and arduous journey.
