Ravens’ defensive backs coach Dennard Wilson is interviewing for the defensive coordinator jobs with the Rams, Titans and Giants, per source. It’s his second DC interview with the Giants.
The interview with the Giants is his second interview for the position. This comes as the Ravens prepare to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game on Sunday.
Wilson began his coaching career in 2012 with the St. Louis Rams. He stayed with the Rams organization through its transition to Los Angeles and was eventually promoted to defensive backs coach. He took the same position with the New York Jets in 2017 and added the passing game coordinator title as well.
He left the Jets to coach defensive backs with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021 and departed following the 2022 season to take the same position with the Baltimore Ravens.
He helped guide Baltimore to the No. 6 overall defense and more directly the No. 6 pass defense in the NFL in his first season with the franchise.
The Giants, Titans and Rams all ranked in the bottom half of the league in team defense in 2023, and Wilson could help turn that around.
